BRUSSELS, Jun 30 (PRIME) -- The European Council has recommended the gradual lifting of restrictions on non-essential travel from third states from Wednesday, but has not included Russia in the list, the authority said in a statement on Tuesday.
“The council today adopted a recommendation on the gradual lifting of the temporary restrictions on non-essential travel into the EU. Travel restrictions should be lifted for countries listed in the recommendation,” the statement read.
The list comprises Algeria, Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, Serbia, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, Uruguay, and China with special conditions.
The list should be reviewed every two weeks and may be updated by the council, the authority added.
